Sorry, Sal, but I’m pretty sure it’s in the code: heroes are supposed to help everybody, even villains. This seems especially petty, since Pulchritudinous may have been showing off a bit but wasn’t doing anything remotely criminal.
It depends on circumstance. If a villain is threatening to feed people to a tank of sharks and ends up falling in, it might be noble to jump after and pull him out, but the hero is under no obligation to do so. In this case though, Pulchri was doing nothing wrong and was just the victim of unfortunate circumstance.
On a side note, I don’t know why Pulchritudinous is even classified as a villain. Last I checked, being annoying and judgemental is not a crime and I don’t remember seeing her do anything else.
Meh. Salvadora shouldn’t feel too bad. She was watching Pulchritudinous’ skating exhibition just like the rest of the crowd. Xatra was just fastest on the draw at the time and Pulchritudinous has a totally ridiculous bias against superheroes.
Oh! So this is the arc when Carmen learns that there is more to being a superhero than flying around and beating up bad guys! Okay, looking forward to the angst-fest to come!
Regarding a response to Finch’s question: “I dunno kid: Wiggled out of her arms and then done something impossible with your staff to cushion your landing? This IS the comic book world, after all!”
A minute ago, Pu was accusing Salvadora of trying to upstage her just for being in the same general vicinity of her. Wouldn’t saving her be the same sort of upstaging Pu was accusing her of?
Heh, reminds me a bit of the whole Livewire mess from The Adventures of Superman. Sometimes you literally cannot win.
Well not really. While she should try to save her its not like she is under scrutiny for it. Honestly it actually depends on the level of villain. A small timer like pu sure you should try to but if we are talking about an unrepentant murderer who escaped on some legal technicality i would say that you shouldnt lose any sleep. I mean you arent batman you don’t need to feel for someone that deranged.

That is true. That Zettai Hero Project, The Unlosing Ranger saved Darkdeath Evilman even after he murder the heroes of the world

Well there is that whole vandalism and destruction of public property at the time she was introduced.

Winning and losing are subjective. As the saying goes, “you win some, you lose some”.

Well, Batman did left Ra’s al Ghul on that train… and using the words “but I don’t have to save you.”
The word “incongruous” doesn’t get nearly enough use. Bravo.
